Particle production at T2

The target head of T22 (XCON021493) contains four positions, which can be equipped with different targets. Per default one is empty to allow the high energy beam to pass. The other three can be chosen to the needs of the users. Currently two lead targets (l=6mm and l=150 mm and Polyethylene (l=-1m) are installed, chosen as optimization for hadron and electron production in the VLE beam.

The particle yield for the different configurations is described in the VLE target section of the H8 beam line.
